Gui Yongtao is Associate Dean of the School of International Studies and  Vice President of the Institute of International and Strategic Studies at  Peking University. His research focuses on international relations of East  Asia. His recent publications include: “The U.S.-Japan Economic Security  Alliance: Building a System of Collective Resilience” (2023); “Exploring  the Changing Relations Between the U.S., Japan and China”(2022);  “Economic Statecraft, Economic Security Policy, and New Trends in  U.S. and Japan’s Policies toward China” (2021); “Japan and the U.S.-China Strategic Competition: Trade War, Technology War, and the Indo-Pacific Strategy” (2020); “Competing in the Gray Zone: A New Situation  in U.S.-Japan Engagement with China” (2019); “The Politics of TPP: The  Motivation and Predicament of U.S.-Japan Cooperation” (2017).
