GUAN Guihai


    GUAN Guihai was born in Heilongjiang Province, China, in 1965. An Associate Professor and Executive Vice President of the Institute of International and Strategic Study at Peking University, he also serves as the director of the Center for Modern Russian Studies of PKU and a consultant of Sino-Russian subcommittee of cooperation in education at China Ministry of Education. His academic interests lie in Russian diplomacy, Sino- Russian relations, China’s and Russia’s contemporary political and social transitions, SCO and the social-political development in Central Asian countries.
    His publications include Great Europe: Honor and Dream (co-author) (Dongfang Press, 1996), and Yeltsin’s Years in Power (co-author) (Henan Wenyi Press, 2000) and over thirty articles in Chinese, Russian, English and Japanese.
