GUAN Guihai


   GUAN Guihai was born in Heilongjiang province of China in 1965. He is an Associate Professor and an Associate Dean of the Institute of International and Strategic Study at Peking University. He is also the director of the Center for Modern Russian Studies of PKU, a consultant of Sino-Russian subcommittee of cooperation in Education MOE PRC.
    His academic interests lie in the fields of Russian diplomacy, Sino-Russian relations, China’s and Russia’s contemporary political and social transitions, SCO and the social-political development in the central Asian countries.
    His publications include Great Europe: Honor and Dream (co-author) (Dongfang Press, 1996), and Yeltsin’s Years in Power (co-author) (Henan Wenyi Press, 2000) and over thirty articles in Chinese, Russian, English and Japanese.
